Hey Honeys!
I’m back… again! And I am so done apologising for ghosting out on you! But as you probably already know (from all my constant online moaning) my schedule is ridiculously jam-packed at the moment.
HOWEVER...
As you can see from the title, lip fillers are on discussion. Now first of all, I just want to say, I am not encouraging getting lip fillers and altering you appearance, I am just one of these people who change things I am unhappy with. But again, I’m not saying people need them, it is just something I have wanted to do for years.
I’ve planned to do this in a step by step format for you, as there is a lot you need to consider BEFORE getting them done!
So first of all, it needs to come down to your mind-set, think about why you want them done. If it’s just for fashion and because its ‘on trend’ to have fuller lips, just forget about it and be yourself! Because you’ll probably end up regretting your decision. Or you may be someone who is insecure about them… and in that case, I know the feeling and you’ve probably already made up your mind to get them done. Personally, getting lip fillers was the biggest confidence boost I ever got! My lips naturally were uneven. My right side dropped lower than the left, on both my top and bottom lip.
Finding an artist...
I’m specifically saying ‘artist’ because you really need to research where you will be going to get them done! If you look on different social medias and websites, every ‘artist’ has their own style!
I was looking for about 3-4 months for someone, and it was quite stressful because I felt so desperate to get them done, but I wanted to go somewhere I was safe, which is really important. Where I know, they knew what they was doing, and someone who was going to be honest with me, with things like risks and what to expect in the future.
ALSO WHAT IS REALLY IMPORTANT! You need to know what it is you’re getting injected into your body! But keep reading and I will tell you what I know!
Anyways…
I came across Flawless Cosmetic a couple of times on Instagram, as they’ve done enhancements for people like Danielle Armstrong and Bobby Norris from TOWIE. When scrolling through their SM, looking at all the before and after pictures, I knew instantly that I wanted them to do my lips!
Making the appointment...
Flawless cosmetic take the bookings over the phone (messaging) or via Facebook messenger, even though all their amazing pictures are on Instagram they don’t take their bookings through DM’s. Whats amazing about Flawless, is that their artists are scattered around! They take bookings in London, Essex, Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Sheffield, Manchester ect. Of course they are not mobile! And they don’t just do the procedure anywhere! For example, in London, they do it on Harley Street or in Charter house, so its like an accommodated area for them. I also looked into what it was that they used (what they was putting into my lips)
They use Hyaluronic acid
Predominantly they use Juvederm
They also use Teosyal
I booked my first session in on Facebook messenger, asking for all the information about the procedure. They told me about age restrictions first of all, and after confirming my age, I was told that upon arrival to my appointment, if I look under 21 I would be asked to show ID. This impressed me, I knew they was sensible!
I was originally booked in with Amy, however something was muddled with the days, so I was asked if it was okay to see Stacey instead; I insisted that it wasn’t a problem, as I had never been to them before, so I wasn’t fussed really on who I was seeing. Stacey on my first visit was lovely, and she apologised for the mix up, she sat me down popped some numbing cream on and asked me if I have ever had fillers before, when I said I hadn’t, she asked me what I wanted to achieve.
I wanted my lips to look fuller… but natural. I had uneven lips originally (that you will see in the photos a little bit more down the page) so I wanted to even them out, so my face didn’t look odd.
I wasn’t alone, I brought Shana (my girlfriend, if you didn’t know who Shana was) so I felt quite relaxed. But Stacey, even then, was very reassuring. She told me just to breathe normally, and if there was an issue with the pain to wait until she was wiping (away the little bits of blood) to tell her… and of course not while I’ve got a massive syringe hanging out of my lip haha!
I will not lie to you, and it’s probably extremely obvious, but personally, it doesn’t feel like a walk in the park. Even with the numbing cream, it’s not very comfortable, it’s just a crazy unexplainable feeling.
Once we had finished she asked me to look in the mirror to see how I liked them, and they looked AMAZING - I had actual lips! Which was so surreal for me, because I literally had nothing originally. She talked me through the after care, and told me that because I was basically getting my lips corrected, I would find that my smaller side would still be smaller until I had them done the second time, which of course I expected… but she done her absolute best, and it was barely noticeable (once the swelling went down, when they was swollen, one side blew up so much bigger than the other!) She warned me about bruising and swelling, but by the time I left they swelled up like balloons anyways haha!

Don't be alarmed! The swelling obviously went down and I was left with them like this:

Don’t watch the fact that I have spot cream on my chin haha!
But you can’t deny that my results are not AMAZING!
About 2 weeks ago, I went back to get them done again. And of course, because I was so impressed the first time around, I went back to Stacey, ON MY OWN this time! And the process ran as smoothly as the first.
They are still swollen now, so I can’t put up a final photo as it wouldn’t be accurate… but I am extremely happy with my results.
If you’re considering getting them done, and you’ve considered all the bits and pieces I’ve spoken about; I would extremely recommend looking into getting them done with Flawless cosmetic!
Their social media is FULL of important information, and if you give them a message they will get back to you pretty fast with everything else you need to know, for example their restrictions and prices!
