Before anyone reads this, I understand that not everyone will agree with getting cosmetic treatments, and I have not been sponsored in any way to promote this company. I have decided to write this post in case anyone reading this is thinking of getting lip fillers and isn't sure where to go - so this is my own personal experience. Cosmetic treatments are such a common procedure now days, especially due to the celebrity endorsement on social media sites. I decided just after my 19th birthday that I wanted to get lip fillers. This is something that I had wanted to do for a while, but had never properly considered it until I turned 19. I started to look at various places to get them done, and what my options were in terms of the amount of filler and prices. I had seen companies who had performed these procedures on people I knew, however price was an issue in this instance and also personal preference in terms of looks. Some companies charge way over the odds, as they have celebrities who promote them, and so they feel that they can charge more. After looking around, (I admit I could have done more research, so luckily I went to a really good place), I found Flawless Cosmetics. I was very nervous about getting my first lip fillers, but I went with a close friend who kept me at ease and Frankie, who injected my lip fillers, assured me that there was nothing to worry about. Below is my before photo. I didn't choose to get my lips done as I was insecure, because that wasn't the case at all. I wanted to get them done as I really liked the idea of bigger lips, and felt as though fillers would further enhance my features. I did not feel pressured in any way to get them done, this was just a personal choice. As you can see, my top lip is rather flat and although isn't small and does have shape, I just wanted my top lip to be more lifted and defined, especially within the cupids bow. BEFORE...
The photo below is my after photo - this was around 2 hours after I had had the injections. The pain was fairly minimal, as they applied a numbing cream, which was left on for about 30 minutes. The injections themselves were not too bad, all I felt was a small pinch within my lip. This was eye watering if anything, but nothing unbearable. I had 1ml of dermal filler inserted into my lips - more along the edge of my top lip, as I wanted my top lip bigger, as I had quite a big bottom lip already. This cost me £250 at Flawless, which is the average price for a well done and safe procedure. I also had only the slightest bit of bruising, which you can just about see on the left side of my top lip. This can vary in different people, depending on your skin and how the injections were administered. AFTER...
It has been around 2 months since I had my lip fillers done, and my lips are actually looking bigger than in the photo above. Although this is the case in the photo, at certain times of the day, I don't feel as though they look much different to the before photo. This may just be my perception as I am now use to them being done and also lighting can make a difference.

I must warn you though, lip fillers can be very addictive! I am only 2 months post having them done, and I am desperate to get them done again! I have been told that I should wait longer, to prevent me from having gigantic lips, which will affect my lips as I get older. Lip fillers usually last between 6-12 months, so I will see how my lips are looking, but am aiming to top them up every 6 months, depending on how they are looking. So that is my very first experience with lip fillers, and it was a very pleasant one. I now wouldn't get my lips done anywhere else!
